Today Big Update: Nigehban Ramzan Card 2026 Punjab – Rs 30 Billion Relief, ATM Cards, Camp Sites & Registration

Preparations for Ramadan 2026 are in full swing across Punjab. The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced a massive Rs 30 billion budget for the Nigehban Ramzan Package 2026. This program is one of the largest relief initiatives aimed at supporting deserving families during the holy month of Ramadan.

Unlike previous years, the government has introduced a modern ATM card system to ensure transparency, dignity, and ease for beneficiaries. Below is the complete and latest update (as of January 21, 2026).

Total Budget and Scope of the Ramzan Package 2026

The Punjab government has officially approved a Rs 30 billion budget for the Nigehban Ramzan Package 2026. This allocation is fully ready for execution and will benefit millions of deserving families across all districts of Punjab.

The main goal of this package is to provide direct financial relief instead of ration bags, ensuring that families can use the assistance according to their needs.

Relief Amount for Beneficiary Families

According to current proposals:

  • Each eligible family may receive Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000
  • The final amount will be announced soon
  • Funds will be transferred directly to ATM cards, avoiding delays and deductions

This cash-based support model allows families to manage their Ramadan expenses more effectively.

Introduction of ATM Card System

For the first time, the Punjab government is launching a Bank of Punjab (BOP) ATM card system for Ramzan relief.

Key features include:

  • No long queues or middlemen
  • Cards linked with CNIC and registered mobile number
  • Cash withdrawal from any BOP ATM
  • Use at authorized merchants
  • Same ATM card will be reused for future Ramzan packages and other welfare programs

This system ensures transparency, speed, and corruption-free distribution.

Who Is Excluded from the Ramzan Package 2026

To ensure that only truly deserving families receive aid, the government conducted the Punjab Socio-Economic Survey (PSER).

As a result:

  • Over 2 to 2.5 lakh individuals were removed due to incorrect data or higher income status
  • People already receiving benefits from BISP or other social protection schemes are excluded

This filtering process makes the program more fair and targeted.

Progress Update from Bank of Punjab

The implementation process is already underway.

  • More than 1 lakh ATM cards have been prepared
  • Daily card production is continuing
  • Bank of Punjab is working closely with survey and district teams

This shows strong progress ahead of Ramadan.

Important details:

  • Camps will start operating after January 30, 2026
  • Beneficiaries must visit their local tehsil camp

Verification Process at Camp Sites

At the camp site:

  • An OTP code will be sent to the registered mobile
  • OTP confirmation is mandatory for registration

After verification, the ATM card will be issued.

ATM Card Issuance and Delivery

Once verified:

  • ATM card may be issued on the spot
  • Or delivered to your home via Bank of Punjab or survey teams
  • No fee or deduction is involved
  • Any demand for money should be reported immediately
